Celery, Again? Yes, Celery Again.

I may have a problem. A celery problem.

I’ve written about celery before – here and here – and now here I am, about to hit publish on celery post number three. Too much? Maybe. But when inspiration strikes in the form of a stellar bar snack, resistance is futile.

Enter the Kombu Celery at Bar Goto on the LES, a snack so addictive it’s been hailed by cocktail aficionados as the best bar bite in New York. It’s deceptively simple to make (Epicurious has the goods) with just the right mix of umami and crunch to keep your chopsticks or fingers moving until suddenly the bowl is gone. Seriously. A whole bowl. Gone.

So maybe I needed this celery triptych – or threesome if you prefer – to round out my green, crunchy obsession. Let’s just call it the completion of my celery cycle.

Now, let’s see which vegetable seduces me next…
